I specialize in ear piercing of ALL AGES starting at 2 months of age. I only perform standard ear piercing and do not do any body or cartilage work. I am a practicing, board-certified pediatrician and have been piercing ears for more than 23 years. I consider ear piercing a medical procedure. I feel this procedure should be performed by a licensed physician using medical-grade instruments and earrings designed to decrease allergy and infection risk.

I pierce exclusively with the Blomdahl Ear Piercing System (https://www.blomdahlusa.com/medical-ear-piercing/) which was developed by dermatologists and is sold only to licensed physicians or nurses. The earrings are made of either medical-grade titanium or medical plastic and will not cause allergic reactions. Titanium is the most skin-friendly and hypoallergenic metal available and is used for surgical procedures that require metal to be placed inside the body. Medical plastic is entirely free of nickel. Therefore, these two materials are the safest choices for piercing. They are exclusively designed to facilitate the healing process and to minimize any allergic reactions.
